Greg Macklin is a lifelong musician, singer and performer.

His musical ability and natural talent shown through from very early on. Before he was even six years old he taught himself how to play the small electric organ that was in his family's living room. Whenever company showed up they urged Greg to play for them.

As he got older, in school, Greg participated in Concert band, Jazz Band, and chorus. He loved performing, so he also sought gigs outside of school playing guitar and playing either solo or with other local musicians.

He was awarded the title of "Most Musical" when he graduated from Newton Falls High School in Newton Falls Ohio. Zip code 44444. No lie.

Greg went on to join the US Army. After graduating from the Armed Forces School of Music he was stationed with the 8th ID Army Band in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. He toured Europe as a musical ambassador playing concerts and festivals.

After his stint in the service, he founded a (vocal/guitar duo) "Earthwood" with Richard Powell joining him on  guitar and vocals. Earthwood was a fixture on the college campus scene for twenty years; placing in the Top Five Campus Entertainers with the National Association for Campus Activities.

After a really great run with "Earthwood", Greg and Richard amicably moved on to their separate ways.

Which brings us to now.

Greg works as a solo musician and resides with his wife in northwestern Pennsylvania. He has been a main-stay at the Swickley Heights Golf Club in Pa for several years. He also fills his schedule performing at the Saxonburg Hotel in Saxonburg Pa, The Gateway Lodge located in Cook Forest and many of the local wineries.
